1 Peter 2:21-22(NASB95) says, “For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth;”

Daily we face life with questions on how to face temptation, how to forgive the hurt we’ve just received, how to express God’s love to others, how to prioritize our time, when and how to pray, and so much more.  We have before us as believers, truly, the perfect example in Jesus Christ.  Webster’s online dictionary says the number one definition of example is, “: one that serves as a pattern to be imitated or not to be imitated -a good example- -a bad example-”.

The Scripture tells us that Jesus lived life, yet without sin.  How did He do it?  We are told also in the Word to follow His example.  He has set the pattern for us to follow to live an abundant joy filled life facing the challenges and stresses of each new day.  I am often overwhelmed with what lies ahead.  Jesus never was.  Talk about a busy schedule, He went from one crisis to another, all the while with many watching His every move.  How did He do it?  How did He respond with compassion to the physical needs around Him?  Don’t you want to learn this?  How did He have the energy to pray after spending the entire day teaching?  How did He know where to go next when everyone around Him wanted His attention?  No matter how long you have been a Christian, no matter what problems you are facing, God’s Word is alive and Jesus remains our perfect example to follow today.

Step inside the pages of this incredible tool and look at the life of Christ.   He is the perfect example for us to follow.  His ways are right.  His thoughts are pure.  His motives come from His heavenly Father.  Don’t you want those things as well?  While we could never live the perfect life, Jesus has given us a pattern to follow, a good example.  Grab your Bible, a pencil, and this Bible study and you will learn in a fresh new way, how to live life today with joy, peace, and your eyes on Christ, our perfect example.
